Every Spring I come over with an obsession to shoot floral pretties and Bokeh style photography. I’ve caught the blue bells a few times but the appeal never wavers. This obsession strangely started with my mum. She always supported my modelling, but she didn’t like the gore and horror and didn’t understand the fetish stuff. One day I did a medieval shoot and it happened to be among the blue bells.
My dear old mum loved those photos and begged for prints, then explained she wished I’d do more shoots like this, so I did. Every Spring I would set out to capture another type of bloom. Blossom trees, Fields of Rape, Woodland floors covered in blue bells, Poppy Fields, Fields of Lavender and many more. my mum was always thrilled and this made me happy.
My mum passed away 3 years ago and this has left a huge void in my life, However I still set out every spring and summer and capture as much of the floaty and floral as I possibly can.
Once in a blue moon I post a casting call looking for some new talent. This casting call yielded 3 fantastic results, Urban Fire was one of the fantastic finds. He is from down Ashford way. He drove into London to pick me up and we went off to this location we had found online. However this blue bell wood was badly over grown with brambles so we struggled, I could not sit or crouch without getting thorns in my bottom and was foolishly wearing sandals.
So after half hour we admitted defeat and went back to the car crushed. Urban Fire mentioned a lovely woodland down his neck of the woods that boasted a fantastic display of blue bells. So after some debate we headed down to Ashford…
The woodlands was actually a national trust forest and there were some people dirt biking, looked really cool. we walked for quite awhile before finding a quieter spot and shot this set with the blue dress. I love this dress its so floaty and I think its great on my figure, admittedly no corset today.
I had also taken the time to be alittle more creative with my make up, all MAC cosmetics. I love their pigment.
I really hope you like these photos. Ill be adding them to www.lady-Lucifer.uk
I still have hopes of shooting with the following plantlife Rhododendrons, Wisteria, Blossom, Iris, Sunflowers, Roses, Acer so if you know a great place, please email me, keep in mind I reside in London/South East and my travel is restricted for my own creative projects unless I happen to have a booking further a field.
